Challenge

A feasibility study for the Quality Control laboratories revamping was carried out as part of an obsolescence remediation plan and in order to meet future capacity challenges.

Mission

User needs were collected and fed brainstorming sessions about organizational change of laboratories activities (activities mutualisation, synergies, team communication and animation, regulatory compliance, …) . Different organization and layout scenarii were worked on before arriving at the optimum solution meeting user and regulatory needs with the constraints of surface area and available budget.
The impact on existing utilities was studied (clean and black utilities, HVAC) as well as the phasing of the work to be carried out in order to maintain business continuity during the construction and transfer of activities.
An economic evaluation was also carried out.
